Onion Tomato Chutney

Hello friends, Today is a very simple chutney recipe as a perfect combination for idli, dosa, paniyaram, etc. This is very easy to make in a short span of time.



Ingredients:

  • 1tsp Jeera 
  • 1tsp Channa dhal (Kadalai paruppu)
  • 2 Medium-sized Onion chopped
  • 2 Medium-sized Tomato chopped
  • Dry red chilli depends on the spice level
  • Curry leaves few
  • 2Tbsp Grated Coconut 
  • Salt as required
  • Oil 2 tsp

         

Steps to follow:
  • Heat oil in a pan, add jeera and channa dhal.
  • After frying, add chopped onions, red chilli, curry leaves, give a good mix.
  • Add chopped tomato, salt and cook till it becomes mushy.
  • Add grated coconut and turn off the stove.
  • Add the mixture to mixie after it cools completely.
  • Make a smooth paste.
  • Serve with hot idlis, dosa, paniyaaram.
